ABOUT ME
My name is Meir Gur.
I'm a dog photographer from Israel, and I am 38 years old.
For the past 8 years, photographing dogs, this is my main work along with teaching and helding photography workshops for advanced and beginners.
Instead of telling about myself, I invite you to take a look at the variety of galleries on my website and let my photos speak for me.
My two greatest passions are photography and teaching, and for this reason, I would love to see you at my next workshop!
ABOUT MY WORKSHOP
Theory part - teaching the basic principles for photography in general, and introducing specific techniques for dogs photography.
You will learn
- A better understanding of the exposure triangle.
- Correct communication with the dog and the owner during the session.
- How to maximize the potential of the frame according to the specific location and lighting conditions.
- Types of compositions, and how to make the image eye-catching.
- Tips, tricks, and important highlights that will make your photos look professional
Editing in Lightroom and Photoshop
Lighting balance and image sharpening

Corrections and deletions of elements in Photoshop Correct use of artificial lighting
Mastering your photos
PRACTICAL PRACTICE
During the workshop we will go on two photo walks in an urban locations - 2.5 hours each, both locations will be inside århus.
You will get tools on how to choose the most fitting lens for the location you choose , how to address the background, how to choose the correct angle, and in addition, we will learn about the blurry background - how to create it and when to use it.
You will also get experience in how to make the dog look at its best even before the click and in front of your camera lens.
And most importantly, I guarantee that you will have an amazing experience that you will never forget!
WHAT YOU NEED
- Dslr or mirrorless camera
- Lenses from 11mm up to 135mm (Lenses with a low aperture are preferred, contact me if you want specific recommendations)
- Laptop with Lightroom and photoshop installed
- Basic knowledge of manual operation of your camera (ISO, aperture, shutter speed)

The number of participants will range between 8 to 12 participants.
A minimum of 8 participants is required for the workshop to be performed
The workshop is aimed for both beginners and advanced users who want to expand their portfolio.
The workshop will be held in English
The location for the theoretical parts will be the picturesque town 'Den gamle by', and the old city center
The price is 425 euros(This price includes the entrance to the museum 'Den gamle by), meals, transport, hotel(if needed) are not included

You are invited to pre-register in a private message on Facebook, Instagram or send an email to dogs@meirgur.com - And you will be the first to be informed when the official registration opens.
The official registration will be open on the 01.01.2025
Your place will be reserved after receiving an advance payment of 100 euros, the rest 325 euros will be payed until the the 10.05.2025
In case of cancellation by you no shorter then 3 weeks before the workshop - you will received your money back.
In case of cancellation by me, you will have all the payment back.
Payment can be made via PayPal or bank transfer , If the workshop cannot take place (new epidemic, world war, other type of apocalypse, etc.) it will be postponed!
