PRACTICAL PRACTICE

_07A4828-Edit-Edit.jpg

During the workshop, we'll head out for two practical photo sessions, each in a completely different environment.

On Saturday afternoon, we'll photograph in a carefully selected natural location, where we'll work with natural light, backgrounds, depth, composition, and creating strong images within a natural environment.

On Sunday morning, we'll meet at sunrise in the centre of Zwolle for our urban photography session, working with architecture, streets, lines, textures, and the different possibilities the city gives us.

Throughout both practical sessions, you'll learn how to choose the right lens for each location, work with the background instead of against it, find the best shooting angles, and understand when and how to create beautiful background blur.

You'll also learn how to capture the dog's attention, create stronger poses and expressions before pressing the shutter, and make the most of every moment during the session.

Both Meir and Lenne will be teaching throughout the practical sessions, allowing us to work closely with the participants and provide individual guidance.

Most importantly, we want you to leave not only with better photos, but with a new way of seeing light, locations, and visual storytelling through your images.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • DSLR or mirrorless camera.

  • Lenses ranging from 11mm to 135mm. Fast lenses (with a wide maximum aperture) are recommended. Feel free to contact me if you'd like specific lens recommendations.
