ABOUT ME
My name is Meir Gur.
I'm a dog photographer from Israel, and I'm 39 years old.
For the past 9 years, photographing dogs, this is my main work along with teaching and helding photography workshops for advanced and beginners.
Instead of telling about myself, I invite you to take a look at the variety of galleries on my website and let my photos speak for me.
My two greatest passions are photography and teaching, and for this reason, I would love to see you at my next workshop!
ABOUT MY WORKSHOP
Theory part - teaching the basic principles for photography in general, and introducing specific techniques for dogs photography.
You will learn
- A better understanding of the exposure triangle.
- Correct communication with the dog and the owner during the session.
- How to maximize the potential of the frame according to the specific location and lighting conditions.
- Types of compositions, and how to make the image eye-catching.
- Tips, tricks, and important highlights that will make your photos look professional
Editing in Lightroom and Photoshop
Lighting balance and image sharpening

Corrections and deletions of elements in Photoshop Correct use of artificial lighting
Mastering your photos
PRACTICAL PRACTICE
During the workshop we will go on two photo walks in an urban locations - 2.5 hours each.
The exact locations for the practical shooting sessions will be announced later, both will be within the city limits, conveniently accessible by car or public transport.
You will get tools on how to choose the most fitting lens for the location you choose , how to address the background, how to choose the correct angle, and in addition, we will learn about the blurry background - how to create it and when to use it.
You will also get experience in how to make the dog look at its best even before the click and in front of your camera lens.
And most importantly, I guarantee that you will have an amazing experience that you will never forget!
WHAT YOU NEED
- Dslr or mirrorless camera
- Lenses from 11mm up to 135mm (Lenses with a low aperture are preferred, contact me if you want specific recommendations)
- Laptop with Lightroom and photoshop installed
- Basic knowledge of manual operation of your camera (ISO, aperture, shutter speed)

The number of participants will range between 8 to 12 participants.
The workshop is aimed for both beginners and advanced photographers who want to expand their portfolio.
The workshop will be held in English
The location for the theoretical parts will be 'Hvidehus' -
Valbygårdsvej 64 A 2500 Valby, Copenhagen
The price of the workshop is 400€, which will be divided to two payments, the first one started from the 20th of Jan 2026, the second payment will be paid until the 1st of May 2026
Not included:
Meals, transportation and if necessary, overnight stays.

In case of cancellation by you no shorter then 3 weeks before the workshop - you will received your money back.
In case of cancellation by me, you will have all the payment back.
Payment can be made via PayPal or bank transfer , If the workshop cannot take place (new epidemic, world war, other type of apocalypse, etc.) it will be postponed!
